How to begin profiling Android device with Xamarin 6.0.1 Community edition -

i'm using xamarin 6.0.1 community edition. can't figure out how start profiling android device. i've followed instructions on documentation, not have same options described in documentation.

launching xamarin studio

1.) first, make sure have application loaded in xamarin studio, , select (default) debug configuration.

2.) browse run > start profiling in xamarin studio, or analyze > xamarin profiler in visual studio, open profiler, demonstrated in diagram below:

i don't have run > start profiling option select. , if open xamarin profiler, doesn't recognize android device. seems mac.

you need vs enterprise license access profiler features in windows or os-x:

note: preview release, however, you’ll need visual studio enterprise subscriber unlock feature in either visual studio enterprise on windows or xamarin studio on mac.

xamarin profiler works visual studio enterprise license.
