i've linked external databases before of sudden, i'm having trouble doing so. open database, click on external data > odbc database. when pop-up appears, click on option says "link data source creating linked table". next click ok. click on machine data source tab. select data source , click ok. looks i'm going pop spins , spins , spins. see not responding. database created in access 2000 opening in access 2010. password on machine data source i'm trying use had expired sometime on weekend. gave new password , checked password worked. i'm not sure going on. suggestions appreciated. thanks.........
